The Pomegranate tree is native to ancient Persia and has been cultivated over the entire Mediterranean region since the beginning of written history. The tree was brought to California in 1769 by Spanish settlers and has become a wildly popular fruit tree today. The tree's appeal has grown over the years not only for the juice of its fruit, but also its widely increasing use as an ornamental. Zone 4-9.
